Inspiration Nook Cravings – 2 Ingredient Cookies

Wednesday, March 26th, 2014

I finally did it. I tried the 2 ingredient cookie recipe all over Pinterest. We had some bananas that needed to be eaten so it was destiny HA! The mister and I really liked them. My favorite part was the fact that they were guilt-free. I did add a handful of chocolate chips as some recipes suggested, next time I will be adding raisins! Have you made these before?

I followed this easy recipe from A. Liz Adventures and 40 minutes later we were in heaven, cake heaven. I can’t wait to try this with a different fruit. Maybe pineapple? Enjoy!

Daily Inspiration – Pumpkin Bread

Wednesday, October 7th, 2015

As you can tell I’m on a mission to complete my Fall food bucket list. Next in line was making pumpkin bread out of this old muffins recipe. I’ve made these “two ingredients recipes” for years now and I love both the convenience and flavors. The mister and I are both obsessed with these muffins every Fall so I figured, why not try it as a bread this year instead? It turned out amazing and adding chocolate chips to the mix was a sweet addition (see what I did there)? To make your own pumpkin bread all you do is mix a can of pumpkin puree with a box of spice cake mix. Bake it for 35 minutes at 350 degrees and voila. Best pumpkin bread EVER! Plus your home will smell like heaven HA! Have you made two ingredient recipes before? Please do-tell! Happy baking loves.

Daily Inspiration – Queso Dip!

Monday, April 13th, 2015

I’ve always shared how much we love “two ingredient” recipes in our home. So when I came across some “2 ingredients” Queso dip recipes on Pinterest I knew I had to try some. I got inspired by this great recipe by Gimme Some Oven. I added a little twist by adding some chiles plus green onions on top. The recipe cannot be more straight forward since all you have to do is mix a block of cream cheese with a can or bottle of salsa verde. I decided to add in a little can of green chiles too since I had it in the pantry HA! I mixed all my ingredients in the Magic Bullet (my best friend) and then heated it up on the stove in a saucepan. Once ready I added green onions as garnish. The end result was out of this world. The mister and I were obsessed! I served it with tortilla chips but cannot wait to try it again with pita chips or slices of fresh baguette. Well the possibilities are endless really! Give a try and let me know if you like it. What would you eat yours with? Any two ingredients recipes you’ve tried lately? Aren’t they the best?
