Daily Inspiration – LOVE

Tuesday, December 13th, 2011

Love is a BIG word. It can have lots of different meanings. It’s part of everybody’s life. In my case it’s a big part of who I am, what I believe and what I dream of. Lately I’ve been thinking about what life would be like without it. If it wasn’t for love, people wouldn’t dream about meeting that special person that would turn your world upside down. People wouldn’t believe in marriage. People wouldn’t dream about starting a family. Family without love just doesn’t exist.

If it wasn’t for love this little girl who one day grew up to be my grandma would’ve never became my grandma. If it wasn’t for love… my grandma would’ve never fell in love with my grandpa. If it wasn’t for love, my grandma would’ve never married my grandpa. If it wasn’t for love, my grandma would’ve never dreamed of having a family. If it wasn’t for love, my grandma would’ve never brought my mom into this world. If it wasn’t for love, I would’ve never been writing this note. I’m thankful for the love that I have in my life. For the love I receive everyday. For the love I have yet to give away.

My grandma’s time with us just ended. All I can wish for is that one day the cycle continues and someone can write about me being their grandma, and how I lived my life full of love inspired by my own.

Abuela, Te Amo!

    I’m so sorry for your loss! It sounds like your grandma was full of life and love, just as you are. :) Thanks for the beautiful reminder.

    Oh sweetie, what a classic picture and so much love……I am sure that, knowing you and your Mom, your Grandma was a true life’s delight……..God bless her and you!

    Thanks a lot for writing those beautiful words as an extraordinary homage for your grandmother Carmen. Yesterday, when your Mom “The Athlete” show me your inspiration nook( the yeallow heaven) for a huge amount of people, I remembered a cute poem, written by Silvio Rodríguez, which name is “The dewdrop”; into it you can understand the real meaning of the word LOVE, and the use you depicted, molded, to represent it was something that touched the heart of all of us and I thank you again for that picturesque vein you inherited from your father´s father. A lot of kisses for you and that God bless you and your INSPIRATION NOOK!.

    Quizás te diga un día que dejé de quererte,
    aunque siga queriéndote más allá de la muerte;
    y acaso no comprendas, en esa despedida,
    que, aunque el amor nos une, nos separa la vida.

    Quizás te diga un día que se me fue el amor,
    y cerraré los ojos para amarte mejor,
    porque el amor nos ciega, pero, vivos o muertos,
    nuestros ojos cerrados ven más que estando abiertos.

    Quizás te diga un día que dejé de quererte,
    aunque siga queriéndote más allá de la muerte;
    y acaso no comprendas, en esa despedida,
    que nos quedamos juntos para toda la vida.
