Inspiration Nook Cravings – Cheesy Potatoes

If someone would’ve asked me 5 years ago if I would ever lose my “kitchen-phobia” I would’ve said… absolutely not!
I grew up in a house full of great cooks so I never felt like I had to learn. My brother who is in fact an actual chef, gave me a “can opener” as one of my moving away gifts, a joke of course.. but you get the point. haha

I believe I lost my “kitchen-phobia” not that long ago but like I mentioned before, the “oven” is not my friend when it comes to baking any sweets. It only likes me when I try to cook, not bake. I think I only try to make recipes that remind me of a special person or a special place I miss.
On that note… Wisconsin owns a big piece of my heart! So this past weekend I felt like traveling back there (through our kitchen since we couldn’t just jump on a plane) so I decided to make cheesy potatoes following my friend Beth’s recipe! She gave it to me back in December and I don’t know why I waited this long.

Maybe you are thinking I’m crazy, but the fact that I can use the oven to create edible food and not burn it is huge! If you feel like creating your own cheesy potatoes follow Beth’s recipe and you won’t regret it.

Beth’s Awesome Cheesy Pototoes

Ingredients

– 2lbs diced frozen hash browns thawed.

– 1 can of cream of chicken.

– 8oz of sour cream.

– 8oz of shredded cheddar cheese.

– 1/2 cup of melted butter.

– 1 tsp. salt.

Preparation

Mix all the ingredients together. Put in a 9×13 pan. Bake at 350ยบ for 1 hour.
